For those of you that are used to having in our own homes 16 to 18 inch deep mattress with a cushioning pillow top might have difficulty adjusting to basic and extremely firm hotel mattress built for durability rather than comfort. If you are in the UK for some time, I suggest buying a roll up pillow top foam you can place on top of the B&B or hotel mattress. These may be purchased in UK department or bedding stores.
